So some people have been asking who is this blog master who started this blog ? I'll give you a hint: I was a student at Christian High in the 80's but my parents moved to California when I was still in high school even though I finished my senior year at Christian high. And the kids, my fellow classmates that is, were nice and cool and I had a lot of good friends or so I thought but that niceness changed to jealousy after graduation because I was not always in Grand Rapids anymore
( although I actually did continue on to Calvin College for 4 years but of course I would go home to California from time to time.)
Nonetheless basically I really have been living on my own since after my junior year of high school with a few breaks here and there to visit parents in CA. But some former friends really did "cancel me " - even some won't talk to me or will say "who is that? & pretend they don't know who I am anymore. So that's just the way people are -their natural sinful state- and it is a sin to pretend you don't know somebody anymore.
My father is a pastor and ordained by the CRC and he took a job in California at what was a famous church at the time and was on TV every Sunday and still is actually but not as popular as it used to be. And the church itself was famous for its architecture but it was NOT Christian Reformed but close -it was actually Reformed ( RCA).
On my mother's side her father is actually pretty well known: liked and loved by some, not so much by others depending on their politics and theology. My late grandfather did well as a businessman in the butter business in GR and his son from his second marriage took over that business and is now the owner and CEO.
So that's a little bit about who I am.
Those who know a little Grand Rapids history can figure out the rest. God bless you all hope all is well in Grand Rapids. I still go there on a regular basis and so does a lot of my family - some who still live there actually.ππΊπ²✝️ππ¦
